What a Rush

Whew what a rush,

The election is finally over and the nation has its first black president.  I must say that I feel a bit bad about how I bashed Sarah in my last post, but the gist of it I still agree with.  I have come to appreciate her more now that the campaign is over.  Perhaps she will be the future of the republican party.  She’ll have a tough road to lead though if so.

Election day was cool, I actually took a day off for Barack and went to the phone bank at 179 Lincoln St. in Boston to make calls to the battleground state of VA, guess they worked, we won Va….

Ahh well, enough I need to jet out goto work.

Take care,

Tommy

Is Sarah Palin a Condescending Bitch or What?

So I watched the VP debate last night and must say that Sarah Palin has completely turned me off to even considering a vote for the GOP.  I mean for real, I thought to myself while watching the debate that this woman could be President of our nation in a year!  OMG, WTF, LOL!  Really???  Are you serious???  You must be kidding me!  Can a majority of my fellow Americans really have the balls to take the chance of having her run our nation?  Oh god, please, tell me that I’m not the only one suffering these thoughts of impending doom.  I mean, I can see it happening.

Everything is in alignment, McCain gets elected simply because even though he does suck, he is white.  Sad to say, but its probably reality that there are too many racists fucks still hiding out in our country.  So McPaininmyass gets elected and promptly kicks the bucket as his overstressed heart simply cannot take the excitement and eventually decides to give it up come next June or July.  BAM, worthlessly conceited, stuck on herself, Sarah Palin is now our commander in chief.

How many times when she was speaking last night was it all about, “I did this,” “I did that,” “My this,” “My That,” unbelievable lady, you truly are one condescending bitch.  Oh god and how about the way she looks.  So perfectly proper and made up with not a single strand of hair out of place.  The amount of coaching she has had to stand on that stage and suffer through.  Her ability to get away with simply not answering the questions posed and utilizing her time as a pulpit for whatever she had to say about how she was this that or the other.  Gawd, I cannot believe a presidential candidate in this day and age would ever chose someone with her qualifications to run beside them.  Unfrickingbelievable.  Truly.

Ffff, whatever.

Has Zogby Lost his Mind?

I mean really, cmon, please, are you serious?  Do you really expect me to believe that old, decrepit, slow as Bush (Umm not in a physical sense of the word), old, dumbass McCain is ahead in the race to capture America’s vote for the presidency?  PuhhLeeeze, lets get real…

I’m not going to say that I can back up any fricking thing I say, but lets just consider a few different theories…

Lets say that Zogby is 100% legitimate in his methodology and puts in no sway, misleading questions, does not change numbers, doesn’t take large sums of money from anyone for his services to say other things,  etc et al.  This would mean that John McCain has 46% of those polled vote to Obama’s 41%, this is of course with a +-3 percentage point margin of error.  This means to me that you could - from mccain and + to obama and they’d be dead even.  But really people, how many of your friends when you talk to them support John Mccain?  LOL OK, don’t kid yourself.  You know y

ou don’t even like the fact that John is the republican nominee, you’re pissed that your party took that turn.  I was too!

Lets say that Zogby is pretty legitimate but he, or someone else under his leadership, also takes money from oh, I dunno the Carlisle group and maybe just a small possibility some from, hmmm, Halliburton on occasion to perhaps ensure that someone is coaching his teams of telephone interviewers on how to enter the numbers into their terminals, how to ask people questions and just kinda make a mistake on entries here and there.  I mean really, 46% of 1089 respondants is hmm 501 versus 441.  if we look at Zogby’s methodology it states…

Interviews are conducted at Zogby International by professional interviewers trained on our computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) computer system.  A policy requiring one supervisor to no more than twelve interviewers is used.  The sample management module of the CATI system gives all prospective respondent households in the source telephone list the same chance of joining the sample.  Regional quotas are employed to ensure adequate coverage nationwide.

So let us figure how hard it would be to make this poll say whatever the heck you wanted to simply by having the supervisor coach one or two of the twelve into making a percentage of their polls say whatever it is that Zogby wishes them to say.  There ya have it, polls say what he wants, Zogby gets paid by his buds at Halliburton and Carlisle.  1089 Respondants is entirely too small of number to manipulate results easily by utilizing just a handful of people.

In my opinion the polling is once again a bunch of horse shit designed by the man to get his candidate into the throne.  Its a campaign tool pure and simple.  The sad part is, Americans tend to just float with the river, like a bunch of lemmings off a cliff we follow whomever the powers that be say is ahead.  A tragedy in the truest sense of the word that a high percen tage of our fellow Americans have that inability to think for themselves and pursue knowledge for themselves rather then just taking whatever that the media delves out to them.  Why the hell would it matter who is ahead or behind, why should this be news?  We should be free thinking enough not to care who is ahead or behind we simply need to vote for our man, well, or lady!

Odd Man Out

In a story today that the LA Times ran, one of the fundamental problems with media and our government today comes to light.  The Libertarian candidate for President, Bob Barr, if things go according to the way media tyClick to Readpically operates will not be invited to the Presidential debates.  This is not to say that a majority of Americans do not feel that he should be allowed to attend.   According to a zogby poll 55% of Americans think that Barr should, in fact, be allowed to attend.  Personally, I agree that he should be allowed to attend.  I can’t really say that I’m down with his message and what not, but gd, there are many Americans that believe in this guy and feel that he should be president.  So I’m thinking that it just might be a good idea to allow him to broadcast his message.

I mean really, one of the things which sucks about our political system as it stands now is that there is truly no chance under the sun you can be elected to almost any high office without being a Republican or a Democrat.  And that my friends, is horse shit.  Do you think the vision of our founding fathers was in fact to have 2 political parties which would hold a stranglehold upon the presidency for hundreds of years?  Cmon people this is a nation of the people, for the people, by the people.  Errrr, unless your not a democrat or republican that is.  I mean, heck you can be a billionare and still won’t have a chance in hell of becoming president unless you subscribe to the mans way of thinking.  And let me be straight with you folks…  The man isn’t a democrat or a republican, but he damn sure controls them and the media as well.  Hence our current situation!  A media which allows no-one else to stand a prayer of getting into office unless they carry the right registration.

But I do have hope that perhaps one day the people will eventually come to their collective senses and just do the right thing, just PAY ATTENTION and VOTE!  Don’t let the media tell you who to vote for, figure it out for yourself.  Figure out what

is important to you, decide upon your values and stick to them!  Determine who you think is honest, who you think is sincere, who you feel gives a shit, who you feel will make our nation the greatest place in the world!  Well I guess I’m done for now…  Wonder what God would think… :)

Go Vote, I am.

Getting to be that time again!

Its time for us all to step up and vote for who we feel is right to lead our country out of this mess that we are in.  Sadly, I must say that I am truly disappointed with the Republican party at the present time.  The catering that George Bush has done to anyone with a big wallet over the last four years just makes me want to puke.  Truly I cannot believe the shit he’s done.  I cannot believe his bafoonish actions and that I voted for him…  TWICE!  LOL.  Oh well.  I guess perhaps I’ve finally just begun to seek out answers for myself rather then let the MAN tell me what they are.  C’est La vie!
